Little rooms.
Big imagination.

Seasonal kids’ room makeovers by Gosia.
One little boy, two rooms. Never beige.

A little home for our ever-changing rooms.

Sunlight fills a little boy’s room with yellow bedding, patterned cushions and a wooden wall ladder.
Small changes. Happy little places.

Hi, I’m Gosia.

I’m the mama behind new.home.again. I change my little boy’s two rooms with the seasons, with handmade finds, a little DIY and rather a lot of cushions.

Some things stay. Some things move. There’s always a new reason to make it feel like home again.

Two rooms.
So many possibilities.

One at home, one at grandma’s.
Both filled with the things he loves.

A rattan surfboard mirror, a seagull and paper pumpkins on a wooden cabinet.
Wooden seagulls hang above a round mirror beside spring flowers.

The Surf Room

At grandma’s house

A little seaside feeling, whatever the weather. Waves, seagulls, a surfboard mirror and small treasures bring the beach indoors.

  • Surf blue
  • Natural wood
  • Sea glass

The Home Room

In our rented home

A room for everything he loves. Mustard curtains, a wooden ladder, little cars and a castle, with plenty of space for the next big idea.

  • Mustard
  • Deep teal
  • Rust

Same rooms.
A new little season.

Seasonal decorating starts with the small things.
A new cushion, a paper leaf, a reason to smile.

A colourful children’s room with a knitted hen, a bee and yellow bedding.

Spring

A few flowers. A few feathered friends. Suddenly, spring.

Sunshine falls across yellow bedding and a wooden wall ladder in a children’s bedroom.

Summer

Seaside colours and sunny corners, all year if you like.

Paper pumpkins and autumn leaves surround a seagull below a surfboard mirror.

Autumn

Warm colours, falling leaves and that little October glow.

A wooden castle glows with fairy lights, paper bats and burgundy autumn leaves.

Halloween

A few spooky touches. A whole lot of imagination.

Gingerbread-shaped cushions sit on a cosy children’s bed beneath a green Christmas wreath.

Christmas

Gingerbread cushions. Red bows. Minimalist, obviously.

A large paper lantern hangs over a children’s bed with blue wall decorations.

Birthday

The little details that make their day feel like theirs.

A little room magic,
in motion.

Small DIYs, stop-motion and the bits
that don’t quite go to plan.

Small makers.
Big heart.

Behind our favourite details are people making lovely things. Here are a few who have found a place in his room.

A few things
you might wonder.

No rules for the perfect room.
Just a few things I’ve learnt along the way.

Seasonal decorating on a budget?

Keep the big pieces and change the little things: cushion covers, bedding, a paper garland or a favourite print. Bring last year’s decorations back in a new combination, and make a few things together.

A boys’ room that isn’t beige?

Start with something your child loves. Mustard, sea blue, deep teal and a little red can all live happily together. Repeat a few colours across the bedding, art and small details to make the mix feel connected.

Where is the handmade decor from?

The makers below are a lovely place to start. I credit the people behind the pieces in my Instagram captions, and say when something was gifted. Some favourites are bought, some are gifts, and some are made at home.

Can I decorate a rented room?

Bedding, cushions, rugs and freestanding pieces can change the feeling of a room without a big renovation. Check with your landlord before painting, drilling or using adhesive decorations.

Can we work together?

I love hearing from small makers and brands that feel at home in his room. Tell me what you make and what you have in mind using the form below, or send me an email.

Shall we make something lovely?

I love working with small makers and brands whose pieces I’d put in his room. Seasonal makeovers, stop-motion Reels and honest features.

Come say hi.

A room question, a little idea, or something you’ve made? I’d love to hear from you.
